Overview

The AdvaPACS Gateway is an on-premise service that securely connects your local imaging environment to the AdvaPACS cloud.

It acts as a bridge between systems within your network and AdvaPACS, allowing modalities, DICOM devices, and HL7 interfaces to communicate with cloud-hosted services without requiring direct inbound connectivity from the internet. The Gateway maintains a secure outbound connection to AdvaPACS and can be centrally managed through your tenant.

What is the Gateway Used For?​

The AdvaPACS Gateway supports several connectivity scenarios, including:

  • Receiving DICOM studies from imaging modalities and uploading them to AdvaPACS.
  • Hosting DICOM services such as Storage SCP, Query/Retrieve, and Modality Worklist.
  • Receiving HL7 messages through local MLLP connections.
  • Providing secure communication between on-premise systems and AdvaPACS cloud services.
  • Supporting integrations that require local network access.
