This release lets you disable Order Date/Study Date syncing, adds a total duration display and improved multi-column sorting to the Reporting Worklist, and includes a range of viewer launch and stability fixes.

Gradual rollout

AdvaPACS is rolled out gradually, so not every organization sees a release at the same time. This release begins rolling out on September 8, 2026 and may take a few days to reach you — if you don't see these changes right away, check back shortly.

Improvements​

Disable Order Date / Study Date syncing​

Order Date has always tracked the Study Date automatically. Some workflows need the two to stay independent — for example, when a study happens well before or after the order was originally placed. A new setting lets administrators turn this automatic syncing off for sites where the two dates need to be managed separately.

Retain identifier issuers when no match is found​

When a patient identifier arrives without a recognized issuing authority, AdvaPACS now keeps that issuer information rather than discarding it. This reduces the chance of mismatched or duplicate patient records when working with identifiers from less common or unconfigured sources.

Total duration shown in the Reporting Worklist "Due In" column​

The "Due In" column now also shows total duration alongside the existing countdown, so staff can see turnaround time at a glance without opening the order — no setup required.

Ordering provider captured from DICOM​

Where a modality includes ordering provider details in its DICOM metadata, AdvaPACS now captures that information automatically instead of relying on it being entered manually elsewhere, improving the accuracy of orders and reports.

Multi-column Reporting Worklist sorting​

The Reporting Worklist now supports sorting by more than one column at a time, so you can, for example, sort by priority and then by due date without losing the first sort. Sort priority follows the order in which columns are selected.

More reliable AdvaPACS Gateway restarts​

Restart handling for the AdvaPACS Gateway has been made more resilient, reducing connectivity gaps and the chance a restart needs manual follow-up. No action is needed on your part.

Bug Fixes​

  • Fixed an issue where AdvaView could fail to launch or show a session expired message when opened from the Reporting Worklist or Clinician Portal.
  • Fixed an issue where the MedDream and eUnity viewers could fail to launch on iPad Safari.
  • Fixed an issue where the MedDream viewer did not close its previous window when refreshing.
  • Fixed an issue where the eUnity viewer could close unexpectedly on mobile devices.
  • Fixed an issue where pagination for Reporting Worklist resource locks only displayed the first 10 records.
  • Fixed an issue where regenerating AdvaPACS Gateway keys did not clear the associated device ID.
  • Fixed an issue where linking an external account via Google in the Patient Portal could fail unexpectedly.
  • Various dark mode and theme display fixes across the application.
  • Miscellaneous bug fixes and stability improvements.
