Worklist Assignment
AdvaPACS supports assigning users to Reporting Worklist items through a custom ZAP segment in HL7 messages. This functionality is useful when assignment decisions are managed externally, allowing a RIS, scheduling system, or workflow engine to control who is responsible for reporting a study.
Supported Message Types
Assignment updates are supported through the ReportingWorklist ZAP segment on ORM and OMI messages.
The assigned user is specified in the segment and is used to populate the Assigned To field in the Reporting Worklist. Sending an empty value clears any existing assignment.
Segment Structure
The assignment is communicated using a ZAP segment with the data type set to ReportingWorklist.
